RUSTY DANMEYER
Rusty Danmyer has been playing steel guitar and dobro for 35 years. Growing up in a small town in the foothills of North Carolina, he played with different bands in the area including many with his guitar and banjo playing father. His childhood dream of moving to Nashville and working with a national country act was fulfilled in 1994 when Martina McBride hired him to play steel guitar in her show. Over the last 20 years, he has worked with countless artists both on the road and in the studio. From 1996 through 2004 he toured and recorded with Lee Ann Womack and then toured and recorded with Leann Rimes from 2004 until 2014.
Now that Rusty is off the road, he spends his time working in his home studio, teaching steel guitar and dobro and recording steel guitar and dobro for internet clients from around the world. You can catch him playing in Nashville at music venues such as The Music City Bar and Grill, which coincidentally, is where Matt Lewandowski and Rusty met. Rusty is featured on steel guitar on “Take me Back.” Rusty can be found on Facebook.
